St. Lawrence Gate operates under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private-sector privacy law, as well as the substantially similar provincial privacy legislation applicable in Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec. These laws govern how we collect, use, and disclose personal information, and they provide you with specific rights including the right to access your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to withdraw consent for certain uses.

What Data We Collect and Why

We collect the personal financial information necessary to provide wealth management, tax advisory, and related services: your name and contact information, your tax identification numbers, your income and asset information, your investment account details, and the information necessary to comply with our Know Your Client obligations under the Proceeds of Crime and Terrorist Financing Act. We do not collect information beyond what is necessary for these defined purposes.

Data Residency: Canada Only

All personal financial information collected by St. Lawrence Gate is processed and stored exclusively on infrastructure located within Canada. We do not use offshore data processing services, we do not transfer client data to foreign-controlled cloud platforms, and we do not engage data processors who operate under non-Canadian legal frameworks. This commitment is contractually binding and is subject to annual independent audit.

Privacy is not a feature we offer. It is a foundational architectural requirement of everything we build. Data that never leaves Canada cannot be compelled by a foreign government.

Your Rights Under Canadian Privacy Law
